Sarah came to Florence from Sweden in 1999 with Italian-studies as her main priority. Instead of going back to the cold streets of Uppsala once finished the Italian language classes, she continued finding excuses to stay.

These excuses included a degree in Journalism and working extra in a wine bar leaded to a growing passion for wine and Italian culinary culture which resulted in a Sommelier- course (wine-expert).

The last excuse was a Master-degree in Wine Marketing & Management and she’s now working in a press-office for wine and food events.

She’s also leading wine tastings and trips to vineyards for groups of visiting tourists in different languages.


For See-ten she’s informing about the different wine-denominations existing in Tuscany, guiding the occasional visiting consumer in the choice of which wine to bring back home.

The use of an informal and immediate language makes both the Italian and the English version a useful instrument for the everyday audience.
